Counselling
Welcome to the GUC Counselling Service
The Counselling Service is a professional and confidential service,
which is available to all students free of charge. Counsellors can
provide you with emotional support and, where possible, help you
understand the problems you have and assist you in finding solutions
that work. The main focus of our Counselling Service Providers is
to help you better manage your personal situation in relation to
your studies.
We offer help mainly in 2 ways:
- Individual counselling sessions for personal problems
- Academic support through help with appeals and other concessions
in special situation
All counsellors are psychologists with postgraduate qualifications
who have skills and experience in helping people with a wide range
of personal, psychological and study-related difficulties.
Counsellors are trained to be open, non-judgemental and empathetic
and as such, offer a supportive environment in which you can discuss
your difficulties and problems.
