University Preparation Course
Duration: 1 Semester FT. Course is offered subject to
sufficient numbers.
Currently only offered in first semester in Geraldton.
Availability: First semester only. Full time
Overview: The University Preparation Course (UPC) prepares students
for university level study by teaching the required skills for
academic success. The UPC is designed for school leavers and mature
age students. The UPC consists of four compulsory units: learning at
university; research and writing processes; numeracy tools and
either accessing knowledge or combined sciences. Successful completion of the UPC provides
students with minimum entry to most courses offered at GUC subject
to subject prerequisites and quotas.

Combined Sciences has been developed to prepare students for entry
into a variety of Science based courses. Students will
investigate the role of Science in our society and gain an
understanding of scientific method before going on to complete a
project in their specific area of interest in preparation for
undergraduate study.
