Overview: Prepares students to be a registered nurse with the
Nurses Board of Western Australia. It provides a comprehensive
knowledge base to enable graduates to act independently as well
as interdependently with health professionals and to serve as a
positive role model in society. Graduates will become
comprehensive practitioners with professional competence and be
equipped with the skills to be responsible; accountable;
empathetic and willing to participate in professional
activities.
Career Opportunities: Nurse, Health Promotion, Health Educator
and Health Administration.
Special Requirements: TEE Human Biology and Physical Science
desirable. A first aid qualification (Senior First Aid
Certificate or equivalent) is required prior to completion of
the first year of the course. Students are required to complete
a health screening series.
