What is STAT
The Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) is designed to assess
competencies commonly considered important for success in tertiary
study. Anyone who is 20 years* of age before 1 March in the year in
which they wish to commence studies is eligible. The STAT provides
an avenue of entry to a tertiary institution for those who do not
have the formal entry requirements. It is available all over Western
Australia.
*An age restriction does not apply for entry to TAFE WA.

What is the STAT Preparation Course
GUC offers a preparation course for the STAT for anyone wishing to
apply to university through this test.
The STAT Preparation Course offered at GUC is tailored to meet the
needs of adults who may not have studied for many years. Classes are
run by highly skilled and friendly staff. The aim of the course is
to enable participants to approach the STAT with confidence, through
knowledge of test procedures and examination techniques. The course
will assist participants to build and practise essay writing skills,
and interpret and analyse both verbal and quantitative multiple
choice questions
