Bachelor of Communication (Journalism)

The GUC will introduce Charles Sturt University's Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) from 2012. This three year full time course (or equivalent part-time) has a strong print journalism focus and will cater to both cadet journalists already employed in regional newspapers and non-employed students.  You can look at the Charles Sturt University site to see how they run the course in Bathurst NSW by clicking here.

In Geraldton the program will be run with a one week intensive block of tuition at the start of every year for practical units with the more theoretical units done through supported distance education (ie online lectures and materials and then a one hour tutorial per unit at the GUC each week).  Students from other regional areas will use the internet to participate in these tutorials.
