To provide financial assistance to our students, the Geraldton Universities Centre's Hollomby Foundation operates a scholarship program for those undertaking study at the GUC. Scholarships range in value from $1,000 to $5,000.
The following scholarships are available for students commencing or continuing study at the GUC in 2015. Unless otherwise specified, you only need to full in the one application form and provide a statement addressing the criteria to be assessed for any scholarship that you may be eligible for.

2015 Scholarships available:
Special Engineering Scholarships
Year 12 students achieving an ATAR in excess of 75 and a pass in 3AB Maths or better will qualify for a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of the Greenough River Solar Farm and the Hollomby Foundation, if they accept an offer to study in USQ's Associate Degree in Engineering supported at GUC. (Limit of 6 available, awarded in order of highest achievers first). Recent school leavers (2012, 2013, 2014) meeting this criteria are eligible.
University of Southern Queensland Associate Degree in Engineering Scholarship
USQ provides one $2,000 Scholarship for a student entering the Associate Degree in 2015.
Hollomby Foundation Scholarships in Nursing
The Hollomby Foundation will provide two scholarships of $5,000 each to students entering the University of Southern Queensland's Bachelor of Nursing program supported at the GUC in semester 1, 2015.
This Bursary, made available after the sale of the 2014 Telethon Home in Deepdale, provides a $5,000 scholarship to a nursing student studying full time at GUC in 2015.
St John of God Health Care Geraldton Scholarship – continuing Nursing student
This $1,000 scholarship is offered to one student who is continuing in the University of Southern Queensland's Bachelor of Nursing program supported at the GUC in semester 2, 2014.
Horwood Family Education Scholarship
This $5,000 scholarship is open to a continuing Education student who can demonstrate their commitment to excellence in teaching and to serving their regional community.
Sinosteel Midwest Corporation Yanburi Scholarships
To promote, encourage and support Wajarri Yamatji people studying higher education programs, Sinosteel Midwest Corporation through the Weld Range Project Native Title and Heritage Sustainable Benefits Agreement 2014, is offering up to six scholarships of $1,000 per semester (or prorata for part time students) throughout the study program, to a maximum of four years. $500 incentive payments are also available for STEPS bridging students (or prorata for part time) studying at GUC.
Mid West Development Commission
This $3,000 scholarship is targeted at high achieving Geraldton school leavers from 2013 or 2014 who will commence a full time undergraduate course at the GUC in 2015.
City of Greater Geraldton
Helping to create a more vibrant City, two $2,000 scholarships are offered by the Mayor to new or continuing students studying full time at the GUC in 2015.
Shire of Irwin Scholarship
Open to residents of the Shire of Irwin, this $3,000 scholarship is available for students undertaking an undergraduate degree at GUC, either part time or full time.

Two $1,000 scholarships are offered as per below:
Entry Level Scholarship
This scholarship is open to recent school leavers (under the age of 20) who gained entrance to a GUC course either through an ATAR, STEPS or a TAFE Pathway.
This scholarship is open to new or continuing students studying a minimum of 5 subjects a year in any undergraduate program supported at GUC.
Shire of Northampton
Valued at $2,000, this scholarship is open to new or continuing, full or part time students at the GUC residing in the Shire of Northampton.
This $2,000 Scholarship is aimed at a new or continuing GUC student who best demonstrates their commitment to the Mid West community.
Ian Blayney MLA, Member for Geraldton
Focusing on relieving financial hardship, this scholarship is valued at $1,000 and is open to new or continuing full-time students at the GUC in 2015.
Rotary Club of Batavia Coast Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is open to any student commencing study at the GUC in 2015.
Bundiyarra Community Aboriginal Corporation
This $1,000 scholarship is to encourage an Aboriginal School to enter study in a GUC program directly from school, STEPS or a TAFE pathway.
