2021 Hollomby Foundation Scholarships NOW OPEN

Talking Points:

  • 22+ scholarships worth $76,500 on offer for GUC students.
  • Mid West Ports are the new sponsors of the Hollomby Foundation Travel Bursary
  • Yagahong Alliance provide a new scholarship for Aboriginal students

Named in honour of the late Joe Hollomby, the Hollomby Foundation Scholarships provide financial assistance to students studying a degree course through the GUC.

The Hollomby Foundation are very excited to announce that Mid West Ports are the sponsors of the Hollomby Foundation Travel Bursary which provides financial assistance to GUC students required to travel interstate to a residential school.

The Ron Shay Scholarship for Aboriginal Advancement has been provided by the Yagahong Alliance.  This $10,000 scholarship will support Aboriginal students studying through the GUC for the duration of their degree course,

Scholarships are provided by a broad range of individuals and organisations across the Mid West.

2020 recipient Philippa Rumble spoke of what being a Hollomby Foundation Scholarship winner meant to her.

“Mr Hollomby used to pop into the supermarket I worked in to drop off his shortbread, I have such fond memories of him asking how many had sold and chatting about the goings on in town- it means a lot to have received a Scholarship from the Hollomby Foundation, so thank you to everyone who made it possible, I cannot tell you how much it means!”
