Start yourself on the journey to a sound understanding of psychological principles and the critical-thinking skills necessary to gain a comprehensive overview of the psychology discipline.
Subject to numbers, units include a two hour weekly tutorial at the GUC. Students cover the core areas of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council program, including social psychology, cognitive and biological psychology, personality and research methods as well as your choice of electives.
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is a 3 year program. Students achieving a Grade Point Average of 5.5 will be offered a place in CQUniversity’s fourth year Honours program necessary if you wish to go on to apply for provisional registration as a psychologist. GUC does not currently support the fourth year.
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is supported at the GUC in partnership with CQUniversity.
Entry requirements include an ATAR/TER in excess of 60.45 or a Certificate IV or Diploma. Graduates of Central Regional TAFE’s Diploma in Counselling, Community Services or Youth Work receive 8 units credit.
